Hello Summer

🌞 Summer is the annual permission slip to be lazy. To do nothing and have it count for something. To lie in the grass and count the stars. To sit on a branch and study the clouds. 🌞

With the Mercury rising, currently these are the few things that I keep handy!
British Rose hand cream from @thebodyshop Since I keep washing my hands so often, they tend to become dry so this light weight hand cream comes in handy and smells so good 😍🌷 
Apart from sipping water all day long, I like to indulge in cold shakes too so this humble low calorie fruity Milkshake 😋

Skin Care

So its extremely important to take of your skin be it any weather but these are certain things which I do during summers 💁

  • Skin care routine - Follow a regular skin care routine and that includes applying Face Wash, Cleanser, Toner, Moisturiser, Sunscreen for day time, Night Cream for Night and Under Eye Cream respectively. Make sure you sleep after removing your make up for sure!

  • Apply Mud Pack - This is an absolute MUST.                                                                        Mud pack is one the best cooling product and removes all the exhaustion, excess heat and puffiness from your face. So you could apply a mud pack once a week or once a fortnight depending on your skin and requirement. My personal favourite is Orange Mud Pack from Khadi which I have been using for the longest time I can remember.

  • Face mist - Always keep this handy and keep spraying it at regular intervals throughout the day.

  • Take steam

  • Exfoliate - You can always exfoliate using home made scrubs and ingredients. I have written a post on this before so you can read up more on it here - Exfoliate

  • Face masks - You can invest in a nice few face masks that are easily available in the market these days and apply them once a week or fortnight depending on your requirements.

  • Rub tomato and papaya - Most underrated solution and least expensive but most effective for skincare is this! Use natural ingredients as much as possible!

Food & Drink 

  • Water - Keep sipping this all day long!

  • Beverages - Indulge in as many liquids as possible- Juices, Smoothies, Milkshakes, etc.

  • Eat Salads - Eat fresh salads and greens.

  • Eat light meals - Eat light meals after every two - three hours.

  • Eat Fruits - Eat fresh seasonal fruits. 

  • Ice Creams and Yogurts - Yassss indulging in these once in a while doesn't hurt much to your calorie count so keep cool with some fruit popsicles and ice creams 🍦
